World Lung Day is a global reminder of how vital our lungs are. Around the world, millions of people live with chronic respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, and post-viral respiratory difficulties. Modern life adds extra challenges - pollution, stress, and busy lifestyles can all take a toll on the way we breathe.
Why World Lung Day Matters to Me
World Lung Day holds special meaning for me. My own journey with Long Covid made me truly aware of how fragile lung health can be – and how deeply it affects every part of life.
Experiencing those challenges first-hand inspired me to retrain and open Halo Breathing Space in Queen Camel, where I now support others who want to look after their breathing and overall wellbeing.
Supporting Your Lung Health Naturally
Halo Breathing Space provides natural, drug-free approaches that complement medical care and offer gentle support for both lungs and mind:
✨ Halotherapy (Salt Therapy) – sitting in a calm Salt Room while micro-particles of salt circulate in the air. This can help ease breathing, clear the airways, and provide a space for deep relaxation.

✨ The Buteyko Breathing Technique – structured breathing exercises designed to restore balance, calm, and energy. These gentle practices can make a real difference for people living with asthma, anxiety, or other long-term conditions. Buteyko also supports healthier breathing habits, such as reducing mouth breathing – which may help prevent some future issues and strengthen resilience.

Why Supporting Lung Health Matters Beyond World Lung Day
Taking care of your lungs isn’t just important today - it benefits your overall health and quality of life every day. Regular attention to your breathing can:
Increase energy levels and reduce fatigue
Help manage anxiety and improve mental wellbeing
Support better sleep and relaxation
Strengthen resilience to respiratory stress
Even small daily steps can make a significant difference over time.
🌱 Small Steps You Can Take Every Day: |

Take a Moment to Notice Your Breath
Your breath is always with you - yet many of us don’t realise how much better we could feel by supporting our lungs. On this World Lung Day, I encourage you to pause for a moment… notice your breath… and appreciate the lungs that carry you through each day.
Small changes, consistent practice, and gentle awareness can make a big difference. 🌱
